Bio
Emerging proudly from Camden, New Jersey, Jo is a 6-foot-tall independent singer and songwriter with a sultry, emotionally charged R&B sound and fearless lyrical depth. Her music blends gritty truth, passion, and urban wordplay, delivered with a commanding presence and a voice that connects instantly.
Born into a musical family, Jo’s journey began early—by age two she was singing in church choirs, later performing in musicals and schools throughout the Tri-State area. Those formative years shaped not only her vocal strength, but her ability to translate real emotion into powerful storytelling.
Jo made history this past season as the first artist from Camden, NJ to sing the National Anthem for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, marking a defining moment in her career. Her live performance résumé also includes opening for Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry, Lil Mo, and sharing the stage with the late, great Fatman Scoop, among others.
Known for her commanding height, dynamic stage presence, and hard-hitting R&B production, Jo’s music embodies resilience, vulnerability, and authenticity. Beyond her own artistry, she is also an accomplished songwriter and vocal producer for other artists.
With an unshakable work ethic, Jo has launched her own label and publishing company, using her platform to uplift, mentor, and give back to her community. Her journey is only just beginning—stay tuned as this explosive artist continues to leave her mark on music and beyond.
